On January 25, 2020, CMIT Academy Middle School hosted its annual STEAM Fair inside the high school gymnasium. It was truly a STEAM-azing day that was the product of months of overwhelming research and experimentation from students who exemplified CMIT Academy's enthusiasm for STEAM education. The projects were anchored in fields such as Behavioral & Social Sciences, Botany & Zoology, Physical Science/Chemistry, Earth & Environmental Sciences, Engineering, Medicine & Health, Physics, Math & Computer Sciences, Microbiology, and Biochemistry. Over 135 students demonstrated their grasp of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics in front of 35 STEAM Fair judges of all educational and career backgrounds.
Amongst the judges were engineers, scientists, representatives of numerous federal government agencies, and CMIT alumni.
We at CMIT Lacrosse want to give a huge thank you to the CMIT Academy Middle School Science Department who put on such an amazing event that showcased the "Student" in "Student-Athlete" for our five Middle School players who were selected for the viewing.
A massive "Congratulations" to Valerie Marte '24, Mikayla Kamara '24, Jehan Idsassi '24, Yashi Gouda '24, and Huda Chaudhry '25 for being selected for the STEAM Fair. These girls exemplify the success of our program on and off the field!
