On February 22, 2020, representatives from our team who are also members of CMIT Academy's Science Olympiad team competed amongst multiple teams from Montgomery County and Anne Arundel County. In doing so, they were the sole representatives of the Prince George County Public School System.
It's the first step in a long journey for them as the team progresses towards the state tournament at John Hopkins University on April 4, 2020. But sometimes, you need to step back and appreciate the successes.
It's not easy being a student-athlete, it's not easy being an ambassador for CMIT Academy, and it's surely not easy representing PGCPS. So to our brave young women who sacrificed so much just to have their work come to fruition that Saturday, CMIT Lacrosse is so proud of you all.
Kavya Gouda '21, Kaitlin Quarshie '21, Sarah Suleman '21, Ansharan Akbar '21, Ashley Tchokote '22, and Samantha Obajolu '22, we are so proud of your display of commitment, integrity, and perseverance. Our program will be cheering you on for your continued success at the State Tournament.
Below is a list of accomplishments of each of the program representatives:
